Dakotah & Caitlin are both sweet, funny and overly kind. We had only just met at their engagement session and again to go over the final details of their day. Their final details meeting turned into dinner together afterwards. We talked & talked! I'm happy and proud to be becoming fast friends with these two! It was amazing how fast we came together and everything else just clicked into place. I love these two to pieces already!
To say I had the best time photographing this wedding would be a huge understatement! It was amazing in every way possible. I should have brought my own box of tissues. There was lots of tears, love and laughter. It was an incredibly warm Summer day in August. It had just stormed in the early AM, so outdoor portraits in the grass weren't really possible until the evening. Which was perfect, since it was nice and cool inside! We ended up doing a majority of their portraits inside the venue. One of my favorite moments of every wedding is the first look. It's always the most special part of the day. But this Wedding has another special first look. The Bride had a first look with Granny, also making her a surprise flower girl. It was also a sweet surprise to everyone to see Granny dropping flower pedals down the isle. It was one of my favorite moments from the whole day! Her Granny may possibly be my most favorite person ever! The reception was an absolute blast! All of their friends & loved ones made me feel like part of the family. So much so, that I may have rapped TLC's Waterfall lyrics during their reception. I wasn't expecting my rap to be a crowd pleaser, as I'm usually nothing but professional when I photograph weddings. But they made me feel so much a part of them that I just came out of my professional shell for a moment to share my love of music. It was definitely a first for me, but very fun! Once sunset came, we snuck outside for a few portraits. Such a beautiful day! Loved photographing every minute of it!
